About Paul Shanley

Form. Light. Restraint.

Paul Shanley is a British fine-art photographer whose work explores the beauty, individuality and expressive possibilities of the human form.

Working predominantly in monochrome, his photography combines carefully controlled light, shadow and composition to create images characterised by elegance, intimacy and restraint.

Specialising in the female form, his work seeks to capture more than physical beauty, exploring mood, character and the subtle relationship between subject and photographer.

A member of the Royal Photographic Society, Paul's photography has attracted nearly nine million views on an international photography platform, alongside recognition through acceptances in international photographic exhibitions.

His fine-art collection comprises carefully selected photographs, offered as limited-edition prints for private collectors.

Alongside his personal artistic work, Paul accepts private fine-art photography commissions, including portraiture and individually tailored photographic sessions. Each commission is approached with the same attention to light, composition and individuality that defines his wider artistic work.

At the heart of his photography is a simple ambition: to create images that invite a second look and leave a lasting impression.
